The Rockford Fosgate Prime R2D4-12 is a 12-inch subwoofer engineered for car audio enthusiasts looking to enhance their system with deep, impactful bass. This model boasts a robust 250 Watts RMS power handling capability and a 500 Watts Max, ensuring powerful audio reproduction. Constructed with a mica-injected polypropylene cone, the R2D4-12 is designed for durability and optimal sound performance. Its stamp-cast basket features integrated spider venting, a feature often found in more premium models, which helps to keep the motor running cool during extended use. The dual voice coil design offers significant installation flexibility, allowing for various wiring configurations to match your amplifier's impedance. Key specifications include a 2-inch anodized aluminum voice coil former, which acts as a heat sink for superior heat dissipation, crucial for high SPL conditions.
