The Soundstream RUB5.800 is a 5-channel amplifier from the Rubicon Series, designed to deliver strong quality and identity with modern technology. It boasts a distinctive blue hairline finish and a no-nonsense, fully loaded design. This Class A/B-D amplifier provides versatile power output: the A/B channels deliver 70 watts RMS at 4 ohms (expandable to 115 watts x 4 at 2 ohms or 230 watts x 2 bridged at 4 ohms), while the mono channel offers 200 watts RMS at 4 ohms (expandable to 340 watts x 1 at 2 ohms). Key technical specifications include a THD of 0.015%, a signal-to-noise ratio of 105dB, and a damping factor greater than 250. It features a 50Hz bass boost (6 or 12dB), a 35Hz subsonic filter, and infinitely variable crossovers with multipliers for high, full, band, and low pass filtering. The amplifier also includes a 180-degree phase switch on the mono channel and is Tri-mode capable. Built with a MOSFET PWM power supply, the RUB5.800 incorporates an IDI intelligent distress indicator for protection against thermal, short, and impedance issues. It also features a turn-on/off delay, high and low-level inputs, and a platinum 4 AWG power block. The unit's dimensions are 8 inches wide, 2 inches high, and 19.625 inches long.
