The Kicker 40CS684 speakers are designed as reliable, remarkable-sounding, drop-in factory upgrades. With reduced-depth baskets and zero tweeter protrusion on most models, they offer fitment in virtually any vehicle application, ensuring no interference with factory grilles. These 6x8" coaxial speakers deliver 225 watts of peak power and 75 watts RMS, featuring 1/2" (13mm) PEI balanced dome tweeters and polypropylene woofers with polyester foam surrounds. They boast the highest power handling ever for Kicker's entry-level coaxials, providing a substantial upgrade from factory speakers. The EVC (Extended Voice Coil) and heavy-duty motor structure contribute to Kicker's signature sound, combining advanced features with trusted performance and durability. Specifications for the Kicker CS684 include a 6x8" (16x20cm) woofer, a 1/2" (1.3cm) tweeter, and a frequency response from 45 Hz to 20,000 Hz with a sensitivity of 90 dB. The top-mount depth is 2-5/16". These speakers operate at 4 ohms impedance.
