The Vortech V-3 H67B Supercharger Head Unit is engineered for demanding, high-revving, small displacement engines, targeting applications up to 525 horsepower. This gear-driven centrifugal supercharger boasts a helical gear design with a 3.6:1 step-up ratio, significantly improving flow and efficiency for substantial power gains. Constructed with advanced technology, the V-3 H67B features a 5-axis machined billet impeller and a high-diffusion housing, developed and tested in an SAE-J1723-compliant test cell. It includes an internal oil reservoir, eliminating the need for an oil pan connection to the compressor gear case. A convenient remote fluid drain hose simplifies oil changes without requiring supercharger removal. The ventilated gear case design prevents internal pressure issues common in competing non-vented units, while integrated baffling ensures proper oil control. Its simple oil slinger design provides adequate fluid delivery to gears and bearings without requiring separate shaft or bearing sets. The supercharger comes pre-filled with Vortech's special synthetic fluid and includes an integrated dipstick for easy checks. Performance specifications include a maximum speed of 52,000 RPM, capable of handling up to 14 PSI of boost and flowing 750 CFM. For optimal performance and safety, Vortech recommends specific bypass or blow-off valves depending on the boost level: a Standard Bypass Valve or Maxflow Race Bypass/Blowoff Valve for boost exceeding 6 PSI, and a higher capacity valve such as the Maxflow Race Bypass/Blowoff Valve, Mondo Bypass Valve, or BV57 Valve for boost exceeding 10 PSI.
