Overview

The Vortech Entry Level Supercharger System is a complete, bolt-on centrifugal supercharger solution for the 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0. This system delivers 5-6 PSI of boost using Vortech's V-3 SCi internally lubricated supercharger. The V-3 SCi features a self-contained lubrication system, eliminating the need for oil pan taps or external oil lines, and boasts advanced compressor stage technology for improved efficiency and cooler charge air.

The Vortech V-3 SCi Entry Level Supercharger System provides a complete, bolt-on centrifugal supercharger solution for the 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0. Designed for reliable street performance, this system delivers a boost of 5-6 PSI with Vortech's self-contained V-3 SCi supercharger, which eliminates the need for engine oil lines and simplifies installation. This system utilizes advanced compressor technology and has high adiabatic efficiency, resulting in cooler charge air, reduced parasitic loss, and more usable power. The result is a smooth, linear power increase that enhances the Mustang's character while maintaining everyday drivability. The V-3 SCi's designation reflects its Supercharger, Centrifugal, and improved internal design, developed through extensive SAE J1723 testing. Key components include the Vortech V-3 SCi supercharger, a fuel management unit (FMU), a cast aluminum mounting bracket, heat-resistant silicone couplers, a reusable high-flow air filter, and all necessary belts and pulleys. This system is CARB legal under Executive Order D-213-37. The system is upgradeable with Vortech's H.O. Upgrade Package for 7-9 PSI or a Power Cooler Upgrade Kit for air-to-water charge cooling. A Battery Relocation Kit is required for all charge-cooled 1986-1993 Mustang systems.
