V-3 SCi Supercharger System

The Vortech V-3 SCi supercharger system is engineered as an entry-level performance upgrade specifically for the 1986-1993 Ford 5.0L Mustang. This system is designed to deliver a conservative 5-6 psi of boost, significantly increasing horsepower and torque over stock. The V-3 SCi head unit features an "i" for improved, boasting a new patented oil control system and a state-of-the-art centrifugal compressor stage. Its industry-leading adiabatic efficiency means less heat generation, reduced drive power, and ultimately, more net power output, contributing to improved durability. This complete bolt-on system includes a fuel management upgrade with a fuel management unit (FMU) to ensure proper fueling for the increased airflow. The mounting assembly is crafted from cast aluminum and comes with an idler, drive belt, and all necessary hardware. Inlet and discharge duct connections utilize heat-resistant silicon sleeves and premium stainless steel clamps for a secure and durable fit. The system also includes a reusable high-flow air filter. For charge-cooled systems intended for the '86-'93 Mustang, a battery relocation kit is required and sold separately. Vortech offers various upgrades and accessories to further enhance performance, including an H.O. Upgrade Package to increase boost to 7-9 psi, and a Power Cooler Upgrade Kit for an Air-to-Water charge cooler. Multiple supercharger pulley options (6-Rib, 8-Rib, and 10-Rib) and other components like fuel rails, fuel pumps, and ignition upgrade assemblies are also available. This system is CARB legal per Executive Order # D-213-37. Vortech provides a 3-Year Supercharger Limited Warranty for V-3 superchargers purchased as part of a complete street-legal system, with tuner kits eligible for a 1-Year Warranty.
