The VIS Racing V Line Style Carbon Fiber Hood is meticulously constructed from Grade-A carbon fiber material, designed specifically for the 2000-2004 Subaru Legacy 4-door models. This hood utilizes a sophisticated two-part manufacturing process. The top layer is made of carbon fiber bonded with high-grade epoxy resin, then finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective polyurethane coating for a durable, high-gloss appearance. A one-piece, smooth underside shell is fused to the top layer, significantly enhancing the product’s structural integrity. The edges are carefully hand-smoothed to ensure a quality finish all around. VIS Racing has further advanced their manufacturing with the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which produces parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable. They are transitioning their carbon fiber components to this V.I.P. process without increasing costs. All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks come with a VIS badge of authenticity. Due to the nature of the intended use, hood pins are required and are not included. This product is intended for off-road use only, unless otherwise permitted by local and state laws.
