V.S. 2.5 Series Remote Reservoir Coilover

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series remote reservoir front coilover shocks provide a significant upgrade for the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma. These adjustable coilovers allow for 0-3.5 inches of lift on 2005-2015 models and 0-2.75 inches of lift on 2016-2023 models, enabling the use of larger tires. They feature vehicle-specific tuning, a larger 2.5-inch shock body, and increased piston area compared to stock components, maximizing wheel travel and delivering superior ride quality and performance both on and off-road. The extended travel length of these coilovers necessitates the installation of aftermarket front upper control arms. Remote reservoirs are integrated to substantially increase shock oil volume and heat dissipation surface area, effectively combating overheating and cavitation that can lead to damper fade during strenuous use. The included ICON-engineered coil springs have a 700 lbs/in rate, designed to support the weight of accessories like aftermarket bumpers and winches, and allow for taller ride heights. Key features include a height-adjustable threaded body with a CAD-plated finish, a billet aluminum upper mount, and a 5/8-inch PTFE-lined spherical bearing. These coilovers are completely rebuildable and revalveable. The kit also includes sway bar relocation brackets and reservoir mounting brackets for optimal tire clearance. For optimal vehicle control and a balanced driving experience, these front coilovers are recommended to be paired with ICON 2.0 or 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shock absorbers. Important fitment notes: These systems require aftermarket upper control arms. Trimming may be required for the recommended tire size of 33" x 11.50". The 700 lb/in spring rate is specifically recommended for trucks with additional weight added to the front end. This kit will not fit 2WD Toyota Tacoma models with 5 lug studs. For 2016-2023 Tacomas, the lift range is 0-2.75 inches, while 2005-2015 models offer a range of 0-3.5 inches. Additionally, recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is required after installation.
