Description

The Superior KE4OD-V is a comprehensive shift correction package engineered for E4OD and 4R100 transmissions. The kit ensures that regular, heavy duty, and diesel applications are covered by a single part number. A critical component of the KE4OD-V kit is the inclusion of a durable metal replacement drain back valve. This replaces the original equipment plastic valve, which is prone to melting. A melted drain back valve can lead to a loss of lubrication to the overdrive planets, ultimately causing transmission failure. By providing a robust metal alternative, this kit enhances the longevity and reliability of the transmission. The Superior KE4OD-V also performs extensive pump modifications essential for preventing pump failure. This, combined with the cleanup of shift slippage issues, results in a significantly more effective and responsive transmission performance. The kit is designed to fit E4OD/4R100 transmissions from 1989 to 2004.
