V2 Bypass Valve

The GrimmSpeed V2 Bypass Valve is a meticulously engineered upgrade for Subaru WRX, WRX STI, and Legacy GT models. This second iteration bypass valve was redesigned for improved manufacturability, performance, and overall reliability compared to the stock unit. It is constructed from billet 6061 aluminum alloy, anodized in either black or red for corrosion resistance and a stylish appearance. The V2 Bypass Valve features a massive 38mm diameter aluminum piston designed for quick pressure release, which is crucial for maintaining leak-free operation in forced-induction platforms. It also includes Buna-N O-rings for resistance to abrasion and any fluids that may enter the intake system. A swivel fitting is incorporated to accommodate custom setups and ease installation. GrimmSpeed found internal leakage at low boost levels in stock bypass valves and engineered this V2 model to hold double the stock pressure. Installation is straightforward, and the unit is described as a plug-and-play package, with the STI version reusing the factory recirculating elbow for precise alignment. Notably, no tuning or adjustment is required for operation. Applications include the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX, 2015-2021 Subaru WRX, 2004-2021 Subaru WRX STI, and 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy GT. While the product states no tune is required, some users have noted that tuners may make minor adjustments for even better boost holding.
