The GrimmSpeed V2 Bypass Valve in black is engineered to replace the factory recirculating bypass valve on select Subaru models. It offers a more consistent response for venting boost pressure when the throttle closes, a crucial function for protecting the turbocharger and preventing compressor surge. The factory bypass valve can become a limitation or fail as boost pressures increase due to modifications. Constructed from CNC-machined 6061 aluminum and featuring a robust 38mm piston, this bypass valve is designed to handle elevated boost levels reliably. Its recirculating design vents boost pressure back into the intake tract, maintaining proper MAF sensor readings and avoiding the fuel trim issues associated with atmospheric blow-off valves on MAF-based fuel injection systems. This bypass valve is a direct replacement for the factory unit and includes necessary installation hardware.
