The PLM Audi Heat Exchanger V2 is an upgraded cooling solution engineered to combat high intake charge temperatures common in supercharged Audi engines during extreme driving conditions. By replacing the stock heat exchanger with this high-density, furnace-brazed core, users can significantly mitigate heat soak and maintain consistent power output. Independent testing indicates that while stock units can see intake air temperature increases of over 41 degrees under hard runs, this upgraded design limits that increase to a maximum of 23 degrees. The kit features a dual-core, quad-pass design measuring 22" x 17" x 2.4" (including end tanks) with a total width of 24 inches including the inlet/outlet tubes. It comes with integrated bleeder and drain valve ports, featuring 1/4NPT plug sizes for convenient maintenance. Designed for a bolt-on installation at the stock front bumper support beam location, the kit includes all necessary mounting hardware, 5 feet of 3/4-inch heater hose, six 304-grade stainless steel clamps, and a mix of straight and 90-degree hose connectors. It is compatible with a wide range of Audi 3.0L and 4.0T TFSI engines, specifically covering B8/B8.5 A4, A5, S4, and S5 models, as well as the Q5, SQ5, and C7-platform A6, A7, S6, and S7.
