The Whoosh V3 Front Mount Intercooler is engineered to enhance the performance and style of 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST models. This intercooler is suitable for stock, hybrid, or big turbo applications, offering significantly lower charge temperatures for increased power output. Key features include a direct bolt-on design with all necessary hardware for a trouble-free installation. It utilizes an efficient bar and plate core measuring 28" L x 8.25" H x 5.5"W, with 2.5" inlet/outlet connections that accept stock intercooler hoses or aftermarket hard pipes. The intercooler is available in either a satin black or bright silver thermal heat-dissipating coating and is designed for minimal pressure drop, supporting up to 750 wheel horsepower. Installation notes suggest that while the fitment is generally good, some modifications or considerations may be necessary. The original Torx bolt for the MAP sensor may not fit the new intercooler's tap hole, requiring an M6 12mm screw with a washer. Additionally, users have reported that the factory splash guard will not fit after installation, and it is recommended to use aftermarket T-bolt clamps for the charge pipes instead of the factory clamps to ensure a secure connection. The factory shrouding beneath the front grille can remain in place. Due to space limitations, this intercooler will not fit with active splitters.
