The Hondata S300J v3 is a sophisticated engine management module designed to upgrade factory Honda Engine Computers (ECUs). This device significantly enhances ECU capabilities, enabling features such as forced induction support, comprehensive data logging, real-time parameter adjustments, and crucial engine protection functions. It connects via a high-speed USB port, streamlining both calibration programming and data acquisition without the need for external adapters. Specifically designed for JDM-style OBD1 ECUs with a square body type, including models like P08, P30, and P72, the S300J v3 operates identically to the regular S300 board in terms of functionality and SManager software settings. Key features include real-time updates, allowing for rapid calibration changes without engine interruption, and robust data logging capabilities through the USB port or onboard flash memory for standalone recording. It also supports any linear MAP sensor with adjustable scalar and offset settings. Version 3 introduces several enhancements, including Bluetooth connectivity for laptop and mobile programming/datalogging, significantly faster datalogging speeds (2-4x previous versions), support for ethanol content sensors, CAN output, and serial output for compatibility with aftermarket dashboards like AiM MXL and Racepak IQ3. However, the JDM ECU variant does not support the PCS (purge control) output, though the VTP (VTEC pressure) input remains functional. Installation of the S300J v3 requires professional expertise due to its complexity and the risk of damaging the ECU, especially if it has been previously modified. The product is strictly for competition use only and is not street-legal; it is intended solely for sanctioned racing events on closed courses. Additionally, this product is not for sale in California. Note that the C14 Capacitor is no longer included and must be purchased separately. The ECU itself is not included with this module.
