The Whoosh V3 FMIC is a performance-enhancing front mount intercooler specifically designed for the 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST. It is suitable for stock, hybrid, or big turbo applications and supports up to 750whp, promising significantly lower charge temperatures for increased power. Key features include a direct bolt-on installation with all necessary hardware provided for a trouble-free setup. The intercooler boasts an efficient bar and plate core with dimensions of 28" L x 8.25" H x 5.5"W. It features 2.5" inlet and outlet sizes, compatible with both stock intercooler hoses and aftermarket hard pipes. However, please note that due to space limitations, the V3 intercooler will not fit with active splitters. The factory shrouding beneath the front grill can be retained. Some users have reported that the clips for the OEM intercooler are threaded and do not fit this aftermarket unit, suggesting the use of bolts and nuts as a replacement. Additionally, the factory splash guard will not fit once this intercooler is installed; an aftermarket aluminum skid plate is recommended for those living in areas with rain or snow.
