The Yukon vacuum disconnect block-off kit is engineered to eliminate the vacuum-actuated front axle disconnecting feature on Dana 30 differentials equipped with 27 spline axles. This component allows for a permanent engagement of the front axle, removing the complexity and potential failure points associated with the factory disconnect system. This bypass is beneficial for off-road use or for vehicles where the disconnect system is no longer functional or desired. The kit contains a precisely manufactured block-off plate, a durable gasket to ensure a proper seal, and specialized axle seals. The product details state that the passenger side seal, intended for the disconnect side, will install behind the carrier bearing.
