The Cardone Reman 54-74305 is a vacuum power brake booster engineered to restore reliable stopping performance in your vehicle. Drawing on over 40 years of engineering expertise, CARDONE identifies and corrects original design weaknesses, sometimes upgrading components for increased durability over the original unit. Constructed from durable steel with a single diaphragm style and an 11.477-inch diameter, this booster ensures consistent brake assist. It features 100% O.E. quality seals, diaphragms, and check valves, ensuring like-new performance and reliability. An exclusive rust-prohibitive finishing process is applied to extend the unit's service life. The master cylinder output rods are pre-adjusted when included for easier installation, and all units undergo 100% testing to guarantee function. This power brake booster is compatible with select Ford Cougar and Mercury Thunderbird models from 1990-1992. It is designed as a direct replacement, requiring no modifications for a bolt-on installation. The package includes the booster and an instruction manual; the master cylinder is not included. It addresses common issues such as a hard brake pedal, excessive pedal travel, sponginess, and vacuum leaks, ultimately improving overall braking response and safety.
