The Integrated Engineering Vacuum Pump Block-off Plate offers an easy, bolt-on solution for removing the factory vacuum pump on VW 2.5L 5-cylinder engines, making it ideal for engine swaps or as a preventative measure against pump failure. This component allows for the brake booster to be plumbed directly to the intake manifold. The plate features an O-ring seal for leak-free operation and includes all necessary stainless steel mounting hardware. It is CNC machined in-house from 6061 aluminum. This block-off plate is specifically designed for the 07K engine and serves as a direct replacement for the stock vacuum pump. By removing the pump, you can eliminate a potential source of oil leaks and free up engine power that might otherwise be used to operate the pump. The oil galley associated with the original pump is effectively blocked off by this plate to ensure proper oil pressure is maintained within the engine. It is important to note that deleting the vacuum pump will remove all power brake assist if the vehicle relies solely on the factory pump for this function. If you are using this plate for an engine swap into a vehicle that already has a traditional brake booster setup, the transition should be straightforward. However, if you are attempting to use this plate as a repair for a failed pump on the original chassis, custom work will be required to plumb the brake booster to the intake manifold for proper brake function. Attempting to run without the brake booster connected to a vacuum source is highly discouraged and can be dangerous.
