VAG 1.8T Bypass Valve

The Forge Motorsport FMDVSPLTR Splitter valve offers a unique dual-functionality, providing both blow-off and recirculation valve operation simultaneously. This design is specifically engineered for VAG 1.8T engines, allowing users to enjoy the audible sound of a blow-off valve while ensuring the engine management system's recirculation requirements are met. For discreet operation, the valve can be converted to recirculation-only mode. Constructed with a Copper and Zinc alloy piston, this valve incorporates advanced sealing technology. It features a variable spring preload system with a ratchet-type top adjuster for precise tuning to your specific engine's needs. The heart of its adjustability lies in a unique single, conical, progressive rate spring. This design allows for effective boost pressure retention across a broad adjustment range and ensures unrestricted piston travel and flow volume, unlike traditional valves with cylindrical springs that can limit performance. Installation requires orienting the valve opposite to the original Bosch valve. The side pipe should connect to the turbo intake hose, and the base pipe to the hose running to the boost side of the turbo. The valve has a port size of 25mm and is recommended for servicing every 3 years or 20,000 miles. For optimal performance, Forge Motorsport provides adjustment recommendations based on engine mapping: 16 clicks for standard engines, 21 clicks for Stage 1 remaps, and 25 clicks for Stage 2 remaps, with fine-tuning possible by 1-2 clicks.
