VAG MQB EA888.3/4 2.0 TFSI Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit

The HEL Performance Direct Fit Oil Cooler Kit is engineered for VAG MQB 2.0 TFSI engines, specifically the EA888.3 and EA888.4 variants found in Audi S3 & TTS, Volkswagen Golf GTI & R, Arteon R, Seat Leon Cupra, and Skoda Octavia VRS models. This kit aims for user-friendly, easy installation with minimal modifications. The Setrab cooler is mounted behind the lower bumper grille for optimal cooling, performance, and accessibility. The system utilizes high-flow AN10 braided performance hose to deliver and return oil. A key component is the 90° oil filter take-off plate with a built-in thermostat that activates oil circulation to the external cooler at 92°C (198°F). This design promotes faster engine warm-up, prevents overcooling in cold conditions, and ensures about 10% of the oil circulates through the cooler at any given time, preventing air pockets and thermal shock. Included in the kit is a Bosch #P7077 oil filter. A crucial installation note specifies that vehicles manufactured before 2015 must have their oil filter stem upgraded to OE part #06L115678Q; failure to do so will prevent proper fitting of the HEL kit.
