The Tomei Poncam TA301E-NS05B is an exhaust camshaft engineered with a VALC profile to optimize engine performance for high-power applications. This design allows valves to open faster and remain open longer, significantly increasing the area under the lift curve and consequently boosting power output. Unlike conventional camshafts, the VALC profile ensures a slower valve closing rate, which helps mitigate common valve train-related problems and reduces stress and wear on components. With a lift of 9.15mm and a duration of 254 degrees, this camshaft is specifically designed to maximize lobe travel on the valve lifter without exceeding its outer edge. This approach prevents potential damage that can occur with high-lift camshafts that exceed the lifter's surface. By deliberately reducing maximum cam velocity, the VALC profile achieves a balance between maximum lift and component longevity. This camshaft is included as a single component, designated for the RB26DETT/RB25DET NEO6 BNR34/R34 exhaust. This product is intended for off-road use only and may not be legal for street use in all jurisdictions. Additionally, it cannot be shipped to California. Some applications may require additional cylinder head work to accommodate the higher cam lobe.
