This Transbrake Valve Body for 4L60E is designed to provide consistent 60-foot times by transmitting power immediately to the rear tires with engine braking. Features a standard shift pattern. TCI Transbrake Valve Bodies allow for maximum torque converter stall and provide quicker and more consistent reaction and 60-foot times by preventing the engine's torque load from being transmitted through the drivetrain prior to launch. The transbrake acts similarly to a manual clutch: once engaged, the vehicle cannot roll, and the engine can RPM to the torque converter's stall speed. Upon release, power is immediately transmitted to the rear tires, like a manual clutch, but with the added benefit of the torque converter's shock-absorbing action.
