Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK-6L80 is a SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit engineered to resolve common issues in GM 6L45, 6L50, 6L80, and 6L90 automatic transmissions. These transmissions often experience problems stemming from a delaminating Pressure Regulator (PR) valve, which can wear the PR valve bore in the pump, leading to erratic line pressure. Wear in the solenoid regulator valve bore is another concern, potentially causing various shift complaints, diagnostic trouble codes, delayed engagements, and even broken hard parts due to high pressure spikes. This kit features an innovative design utilizing all drop-in valves, ensuring a quick and hassle-free installation without the need for reaming or specialized tooling. It includes a precision-ground, USA-made hardened steel PR valve with re-positioned longer lands for better support and reduced wear. This valve provides full-time line-to-lube and restores the hydraulic integrity of the circuit, making it a direct fix even for pumps with significant bore wear. Additionally, a new boost valve and bushing with a built-in EPC pressure relief assembly are provided to prevent damaging high line pressure spikes. To address solenoid regulator valve bore wear, the kit employs a drop-in system with a precision-ground hardened steel valve and a valve guide insert, bypassing the worn original bore and restoring hydraulic integrity. Further enhancing its functionality, the kit contains new rubber seals and diaphragms to renew the TEHCM pressure switches and includes TransGo engineered high-temperature stator rings to salvage early-style pump stator supports without compromising sealing rings. It also addresses specific diagnostic trouble codes including P0729, P0731-P0735, P0751-P0752, P0756-P0757, P0761-P0762, and P0776-P0777. Installation of this kit requires transmission removal.
