Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK-A6MF is a SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit engineered to resolve common issues in specific automatic transmissions. It is compatible with 2009 and newer Hyundai and Kia vehicles equipped with A6MF1/2, A6GF1, or A6LF1/2/3 transmissions, as well as 2013-2016 Jeep and 2012-2016 Dodge vehicles using the 6F24 transmission. This kit targets prevalent transmission problems including brutal 6-4 kick-down bangs, erratic shifting, flares or neutrals during shifts, gear ratio and solenoid performance codes, and TCC shudder or slip complaints. The primary cause addressed is wear in the bores of the two reducing valves within the valve body, which impacts solenoid pressure regulation and overall main line pressure. Additionally, wear in the TCC control valve bushing can lead to improper lock-up clutch control. Key components of the TransGo SK-A6MF include two oversized, USA-made hardened steel reducing valves and a precision USA-made aluminum TCC control bushing. To install the reducing valves, the bores must be reamed to an oversized dimension, requiring the separate purchase of TransGo part # A4A6-RV-TK, which includes the necessary reamer and guides. By restoring hydraulic circuit integrity and addressing valve bore wear, this kit helps prevent or reduce codes such as P0731, P0732, P0733, P0734, P0735, and P0741, while improving shift quality and engagement. A comprehensive valve body layout showing springs, valves, and small parts location is included for installation guidance.
