Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK AX4N SHIFT KIT® is a comprehensive valve body repair kit engineered for Ford AX4N and 4F50N automatic transmissions, specifically for models from 1995 to the present. These include positive lubrication to the front planet gears, reduction of costly planet burn-up, rough light-throttle up and downshifts, and issues like falling out of 4th gear, sliding 1-2 shifts when hot, and 2nd clutch failure. It also addresses soft shifts above 1/2 throttle, neutrals at a stop, skipping 2nd gear when hot, and neutrals on corners. Included in the kit are essential components for a proper valve body and unit repair. These parts consist of a new pressure regulator boost valve with a bushing, a lock-up valve with a bushing, a forward control valve, and a high-pressure relief system. Additionally, the kit provides an 1-2 accumulator spring and components for internal lube upgrades, ensuring a more robust and reliable transmission performance. The SK AX4N is compatible with all AX4N and 4F50N transmissions from 1995 onwards. While general fitment is broad, specific revisions for 2004-on units are noted, and a separate pump plate (AX4N-PMP-PLT) is available for 2004-on models. Installation requires substantial disassembly of the transmission, as it involves working within the valve body.
