Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK U140 SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit is engineered to resolve common issues found in 1998 and newer Toyota and Lexus vehicles equipped with U140, U240, and U241 series automatic transmissions. Common symptoms addressed by this kit include frustrating shuttle shifts, unexpected neutrals during the 2-3 shift, TCC slip codes, and solenoid performance codes, all of which can stem from internal wear within the valve body. At the core of these issues are often worn TCC boost valves and bushings, which prevent the vehicle's computer from accurately controlling the lock-up clutch apply rate. Additionally, wear in the solenoid modulator valve bore can lead to improper pressure regulation for the solenoids, affecting overall shift quality and main line pressure. This kit directly tackles these concerns with precision-engineered, USA-made hardened steel components. Key features of the SK U140 include a drop-in hardened steel TCC boost valve and bushing designed to restore hydraulic circuit integrity. It also contains a redesigned drop-in solenoid modulator valve system, complete with a valve, spring, and bushing, which utilizes the existing worn bore to restore proper function without requiring special tooling. The kit also includes a 0.055” drill bit. By replacing worn components with durable hardened steel parts, the TransGo SK U140 kit aims to correct and prevent shuttle shifts, neutrals on the 2-3 shift, TCC slip codes, and solenoid performance codes, ultimately restoring optimal drivability and durability to the transmission.
