Description

The TransGo SK RE4F04B is a SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit specifically engineered for the RE4F04B automatic transmission. This kit addresses and rectifies several common transmission faults, including rough 1-2 shifts, particularly when the transmission is cold. It also resolves issues like no third gear engagement after a 4-2 or 3-2 kickdown, and problems related to leaky, worn, or poorly designed direct clutch inner seals. Installation of the SK RE4F04B kit provides a more robust solution by upgrading the direct (3rd) clutch seal and includes high-temperature, low-shrink sealing rings. The kit is known to reduce long shifts that can cause the engine to hit the rev limiter, and it contributes to firmer 4th gear and lockup engagement.
