Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo SK-4T65E SHIFT KIT® is a valve body repair kit engineered to enhance the durability and performance of 1997 and later General Motors 4T65E automatic transmissions. This kit is designed to address common drivability complaints and potential failures associated with the 4T65E transmission. It helps to shorten shifts, providing a more responsive feel without introducing harshness. The kit replaces worn original components with upgraded parts, including a new TransGo pressure regulator spring for stable pressure, new accumulator springs and spacers to help shorten shifts, and a new boost valve. These components work together to improve overall drivability and longevity. The SK-4T65E kit is known to correct or prevent specific issues such as long or hard shifts, chatter during acceleration, lack of 4th gear or lock-up engagement, and trouble codes like P1811, P0741, and P0894. The installation is described as convenient with drop-in valves, requiring no special tooling or machining and typically not necessitating transmission removal, although an experienced technician is recommended. This kit is compatible with all 4T65E transmissions from 1997 onwards, including the TipTronic version found in Volvo vehicles and some Pontiac Grand Prix models. Note that if your vehicle has a TipTronic unit, the kit will work with it, with the exception of the Boost Valve assembly.
