The TransGo 4R100-HD2 Tugger Reprogramming Kit is engineered for Ford E4OD and 4R100 automatic transmissions, specifically for vehicles that frequently tow heavy loads, whether gas or diesel powered. This kit addresses and resolves a range of common transmission problems, including codes 628, P1740, and P1744, as well as preventing downhill clutch burn-up, soft shifts, 2nd and 3rd gear burn-up, converter burn-up, reverse delay, and converter shudder. Key features of the Tugger kit include doubling low clutch holding pressure in manual first gear for enhanced downhill compression braking, handling exhaust brake applications, and allowing for adjustment of shift firmness.
