The ZZPerformance valve cover breather is a direct replacement for your factory twist-on oil cap. This updated version is 2.75" tall for better fitment in tight spaces.

This breather is particularly beneficial for engines that generate excess crankcase pressure, helping to prevent problems like the dipstick popping out. By venting this pressure, it can also contribute to lower oil temperatures and potentially improved power output, as reported by users. The updated design stands at only 2.75 inches tall, ensuring a more accommodating fit in constricted engine bays. Constructed as a single-piece unit, this breather directly mates to the valve cover, unlike some aftermarket alternatives that require additional adapters. It includes a sealing O-ring for a secure installation. However, PCM programming is required after installation because the breather bypasses the PCV valve and the MAF sensor. Important installation and removal notes: To prevent damage, do not twist the top of the breather when removing it. Instead, grip the base of the unit. This valve cover breather fits a wide range of GM vehicles equipped with a single alignment pin valve cover, including Cobalt, Ion Redline, G5, Pursuit, Regal, Grand Prix, Bonneville, Park Ave, Impala, Monte Carlo, and LS V8 engines found in Corvette, Camaro, Firebird, GTO, and G8 models. It specifically DOES NOT fit the Cruze/Sonic, ATS/CTS/2.0 Camaro (LTG engine) due to a dual locator style valve cover, nor the Sky and Solstice due to engine placement under the firewall.
