Valve Cover Oil Catch Can Kit

The James Barone Racing valve cover oil catch can kit is specifically engineered for the 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST. During normal engine operation, blow-by gases and oil vapor are vented from the valve cover into the intake. This oil can coat the turbo and intercooler, and adhere to intake valves, leading to performance reduction and potential costly repairs. The JBR kit addresses this by capturing this oil mist before it re-enters the combustion chamber, particularly important for engines like the 2.0L where fuel doesn't wash the valves. The catch can utilizes a unique design with three perforated plates that capture oil through capillary action as crankcase gases pass through. Unlike dense micron screens or mesh filters, these plates are durable and do not require cleaning or replacement. The entire unit is constructed from 6061 billet aluminum for durability and features a 350ml capacity, easily monitored with an integrated dipstick. A convenient drain valve and hose are included for simple oil removal. The kit includes application-specific mounting brackets, pre-cut and pre-assembled oil-resistant hoses with clamps, and stainless steel mounting hardware. A Sound Symposer delete kit is required for installation on the 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST. An optional VTA (vent-to-atmosphere) application and a Symposer Block-off Kit are available.
