The Beehive GSC5042 is a valve spring kit specifically engineered for the Mitsubishi 4B11T engine found in the 2008-2015 Evolution X. This kit features 16 GSC Power-Division beehive valve springs and 16 lightweight titanium retainers. The ovate wire construction and advanced material heat treatment methods used in these springs ensure superior load loss capabilities and long-term fatigue resistance. Beehive springs enable the use of smaller, lighter retainers, which in turn allows for higher RPM operation and improved valve control. The kit specifications include inlet and exhaust seat pressures of 75 lbs @ 1.350" and 72 lbs @ 1.361" respectively. At 0.917" lift, the inlet pressure reaches 217 lbs, and at 0.928" lift, the exhaust pressure is 214 lbs. This setup is designed to handle cams with up to 12.2mm of lift, with a maximum valve lift of 0.480", and supports RPMs up to 9,500 and boost levels up to 40 psi. Included in the kit are (16) Beehive Valve Springs and (16) Titanium Retainers. The coil bind is 0.800", and the specified install height is 1.350" / 1.361".
