The Valvetronic Designs HFD Exhaust System is engineered to redefine the sound profile of the BMW G8X M3/M4's S58 engine. Utilizing a High Frequency Development (HFD) midpipe, this system approaches exhaust engineering with a focus on optimizing exhaust pulse timing, improving acoustic balance, and creating a smoother, more exotic inline-six tone. This integration with the valved axle-back system allows for both refined daily drivability and an aggressive performance sound when desired. It aims to preserve the high-frequency character of the S58 engine, providing a sharper, more aggressive tone under load. The system features electronic valve control with an included controller for instant adjustment, and OEM integration is also available for factory-style valve operation. The construction utilizes T304 stainless steel or ultra-light Grade 5 titanium, offering significant weight savings compared to the factory system. Precision TIG welds and mandrel-bent tubing ensure premium construction. The HFD Exhaust System is designed for a 3-inch midpipe layout, supporting improved exhaust flow and higher-horsepower applications, including hybrid turbo setups. It is engineered as a complete exhaust solution for the BMW G8X platform. The system is fully reversible and professional installation is recommended. The system includes the HFD midpipe assembly, valved axle-back exhaust system, valve controller, exhaust tips, and necessary hardware and clamps.
