The KW Variant 1 "Inox-line" coilover kit represents KW Suspensions' entry into their street performance lineup. The Variant 1 coilovers allow for customized suspension lowering within the vehicle's technical limitations, ensuring proper suspension function and adequate travel. The ride height is easily adjustable thanks to a dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and a composite adjustment collar, which prevents oxidation and friction, ensuring long-term usability even after years of use. The kit is made in Germany and includes a Technical Component Report that outlines guidelines for lowering the suspension and ensures road-legal approval in many countries. Key features include customized suspension lowering, a composite spring seat made from wear-resistant polyamide with a stainless steel insert for maximum strength and to prevent oxidation, and Inox-Line stainless steel construction for permanent corrosion resistance. KW extensively tests its coilovers on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and in their 7-post chassis dynamics test center to develop vehicle-specific damper tuning and spring rates. This kit is specifically designed for the 2018-2025 Audi SQ5 Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige 3.0L models. It is important to note that this kit is only for cars with a clamp diameter of 54.6 mm on the front axle and is not compatible with vehicles equipped with electronic damping.
