VDR100 VESSEL DATA RECORDER

Maretron's Vessel Data Recorder (VDR100) records messages from a vessel's NMEA 2000 network using solid-state memory and a removable USB flash drive. A 16 Gbyte USB Flash Drive is supplied, storing weeks of data; larger drives can store over a year. It uses a circular buffer, overwriting the oldest data only when full. Recorded data can be used for performance analysis, vessel tracking, preventative maintenance, network diagnostics, warranty, and accident investigation to reduce operating costs and improve safety. For example, an NMEA 2000 fuel flow monitor provides fuel usage records, and a GPS antenna/receiver records vessel location, speed, and course. Data analysis is performed with spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel using Maretron's free N2KExtractor software, which creates comma-delimited files from the USB flash drive. The VDR100 provides a complete record of all NMEA 2000 product information and is engineered to IEC 60945 standards, ensuring data protection in a compact, waterproof housing.
