The Hankook Ventus S1 AS tire is engineered for drivers seeking confident all-season performance in their sedans and coupes. This tire utilizes a new four-season high-performance compound, incorporating a high concentration of silica to significantly enhance grip force across all surface conditions, including wet, dry, and snow. Its design prioritizes sport-inspired handling and all-season durability. The Ventus S1 AS features a directional asymmetric tread pattern, contributing to excellent grip and sharp responsiveness. The wide outside block and high stiffness in the tread enhance dry handling performance, lateral stability, and steering response. To further improve wet-weather performance, wide grooves are integrated for rapid water evacuation, while the applied shoulder chamber helps maintain uniform grounding by suppressing block edge deformation during driving, which also boosts dry grip. For snowy conditions, the tire boasts high longitudinal pattern stiffness to minimize traction loss and increased sipe density for enhanced block flexibility and biting edges on packed snow. Wide lateral grooves also contribute to snow grip by increasing void volume and capturing more snow. The Ventus S1 AS carries a 50,000-mile warranty. It is specifically mentioned as fitting the 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 models.
