Version 2 Bypass Valve

The GrimmSpeed Version 2 Bypass Valve is engineered to replace leaky OEM bypass valves and ensure leak-free operation, even under high boost conditions. It utilizes a redesigned internal piston made from hard aluminum, which is lighter than the previous brass version for improved response. The valve body and base are CNC-machined from durable 6061 aluminum alloy and finished with a corrosion-resistant anodized coating, available in black or red to match other GrimmSpeed components. Key internal features include an oversized 38mm piston and sealing ring designed for rapid pressure dumping, crucial for preventing turbo damage and maintaining boost integrity. This is complemented by a precisely-tuned steel spring that eliminates the need for any aftermarket engine tuning or adjustments for the valve itself. The Buna-N O-rings are chosen for their resistance to fuel and oil degradation, and their grooves feature a single dovetail design for superior retention and a perfect seal. This bypass valve is designed as a direct fit for various Subaru models, including the 2004-2021 STI and 2002-07 WRX. It also fits 2004-08 Forester XT and 2004-06 Baja XT models, though these may require an STI-style Top Mount Intercooler (TMIC). A swivel air fitting is included to aid in installation and accommodate custom routing. The design ensures a plug-and-play installation experience.
