Version 2 Cast Aluminum Turbo Inlet

The GrimmSpeed Version 2 Cast Aluminum Turbo Inlet addresses a common failure point on the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and 2014-2018 Subaru Forester XT by replacing the brittle OEM plastic inlet. Cracks can form in the factory part, especially around the BPV and turbo flange, leading to engine damage due to compromised metered air. This GrimmSpeed inlet is constructed from robust A380 cast aluminum, offering superior durability and eliminating the risk of cracking. Engineered for optimal performance, the Version 2 inlet features a CAD-optimized design that smooths airflow and removes OEM air pockets. The surfaces are CNC machined to guarantee a perfect fit and reliable sealing. This updated version simplifies installation by offering interchangeable fittings to accommodate both earlier and later model PCV return lines. Importantly, no tuning is required for this upgrade, even when paired with other GrimmSpeed intake components like the DRY-CON Panel Air Filter and Post MAF Hoses. However, an install note specifies that while it interfaces perfectly with the GrimmSpeed Electronic Boost Control Solenoid, use with OEM or other aftermarket BCS may require additional washers or longer bolts for mounting. This turbo inlet is compatible with all USDM models and trims for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and 2014-2018 Subaru Forester XT, as well as most international trims. It is explicitly NOT compatible with Canadian-spec OEM aluminum inlets that have coolant lines running through them.
