Show original supplier description
The Vertical Doors Inc. VDCCHEVYCAM16 is a direct bolt-on lambo-style vertical door system kit specifically engineered for the 2016-2022 Chevrolet Camaro. This conversion kit offers a unique aesthetic, allowing your vehicle to retain its factory appearance while driving, but transform into a showstopper when the doors are raised. The system allows for normal door opening up to a set point, after which the doors can be easily raised. A key feature highlighted is that you can opt not to raise the doors, allowing for entry and exit without needing to lift them, differentiating these from imitation kits. Vertical Doors, Inc. emphasizes that this is a door hinge replacement that does not alter the structural integrity of the door or the vehicle body, and in fact uses heavier-duty materials than OEM components. The kit includes two gas shocks calibrated for the specific vehicle application, two vertical door conversion hinges made from ASTM High Strength Hardened Steel, all necessary mounting hardware, and detailed installation instructions. Vertical Doors, Inc. provides a full lifetime warranty on the steel components and a six-month warranty on the gas shocks. The installation is reversible on most vehicles, and while some minor cutting or grinding of fender tabs or rolling of inner fenders might be necessary, the original door hinges can be reinstalled if the kit is removed. Professional installation is suggested.
