It features a "bullet proof" Vortech Engineering supercharger unit and custom VF.GIAC software that safely realigns fueling and engine management parameters for enhanced performance and long-term drivability. This 6.0 psi supercharger system is engineered for a simple, bolt-on installation and is fully OBD2 compliant. It can be installed in approximately 8 hours and is non-intrusive, making it fully reversible. The 6.0 psi manifold pressure at peak boost was determined through testing to be the optimal induction charge limit without the need for aftercooling, providing significant torque gains. Upon ordering, customers are required to provide their VIN, ECU, and transmission type (auto or manual) to VF Engineering within one year of purchase for an ECU software flash. This product is backed by a 1-year unlimited mileage warranty on the product itself. Additionally, this kit is not for sale or use in California on any pollution-controlled vehicle, as per the California Air Resources Board. The kit is specifically designed for the BMW E46 M3 with the S54 3.2L engine.
