The VF Engineering VF600 Supercharger System is engineered to unlock the untapped performance potential of the Type 42 Audi R8 V8 (2007-2015, 4.2L). This system centers around the efficient Magnuson TVS1900 roots-style supercharger, mounted to a water-cooled cast manifold for optimal thermal management. Enhanced cooling is achieved through an auxiliary front-mounted heat exchanger and a dedicated water reservoir, contributing to a consistent and immediate boost throughout the entire RPM range via its precisely tuned internal air bypass system. This sophisticated design virtually eliminates parasitic loss at cruising speeds. The kit includes a comprehensive suite of components: a 6061 aluminum intake manifold, air water charge cooler system, Bosch high capacity fuel injectors, hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum brackets, a Hex Flash ECU tuning programming cable, a high density water radiator, a high flow cast supercharger inlet, a high flow water pump, an internal bypass system, the Magnuson TVS1900 supercharger, OEM serpentine belt and tensioner FEAD, and a polypropylene water reservoir (US model). This supercharger system is designed to significantly increase power output, taking the R8’s V8 from a standard 430hp and 317tq to a remarkable 595hp and 420tq. VF Engineering utilizes advanced technology, including CAD, FEA, and CFD, alongside precision manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing and CNC machining with aerospace-grade alloys. Rigorous dynamic and static testing ensures optimal performance, reliability, and adherence to stringent quality standards. Custom tuning software is developed for each application to optimize engine parameters. It is important to note that this item, and any similar items, are not CARB approved and therefore not for sale or use in California or other states requiring CARB certification. No assessment has been made regarding EPA anti-tampering compliance, as necessary testing has not been completed.
