Overview

The SpeedFactory Racing Vitara Spec No-Notch Long Connecting Rods are constructed from forged SAE 4340 Chromoly steel. These rods are heat-treated, magnafluxed, CNC machined, and shot-peened. They feature precision alignment dowels and bronze alloy pin bushings. The rods come standard with 3/8” ARP2000 rod bolts and are rated for up to 500hp.

The SpeedFactory Vitara Spec No-Notch Long Connecting Rods offer improved reliability, particularly in D16 engines running Vitara pistons. Constructed from forged SAE 4340 Chromoly steel, each rod undergoes a rigorous heat-treating, magnafluxing, CNC machining, and shot-peening process to ensure exceptional strength and stress relief. These H-beam connecting rods are designed with precision alignment dowels to maintain big end bore size and prevent cap walk. They are equipped with bronze alloy pin bushings for floating wrist pins and include 3/8” ARP2000 rod bolts with a 220,000 psi rating. The design is profiled to clear most factory engine girdles, eliminating the need for block notching. Each set is balanced to +/- 1 gram and laser-etched with the SFR logo. The rods are rated for 500hp and have a center-to-center length of 5.458 inches (138mm). Specific dimensions include a pin end bore of 0.748 inches (19.02mm) and a big end bore of 1.890 inches (48mm). Applications include various Acura and Honda models such as the 1986-1989 Acura Integra, 1988-1995 Honda Civic Si, 1988-1991 Honda CRX Si, 1990-1991 Honda Civic EX, 1995-2000 Honda Civic, 1999-2006 Honda HR-V, and 1993-1995 Honda Del Sol Si.
