VLine VL2 Infotainment System

The GROM Audio VLine VL2 is a smart computer designed to seamlessly integrate into your vehicle's existing infotainment system and display, without compromising factory functionality. This unit operates on Android 12, providing a robust platform for enhanced features. It supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, accessible via USB or wirelessly, allowing for easy integration of navigation, communication, and entertainment apps from your smartphone. With 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash storage, the VLine VL2 ensures smooth app performance. It connects via Wi-Fi for standalone operation, though a phone connection is not required for CarPlay or Android Auto. The system also offers connectivity through a mobile hotspot or phone internet tethering. It allows installation of any Android-compatible apps from the Google Play Store, with built-in plugins for music apps like Local Music, Pandora, and Web Radio, and navigation apps such as Google Maps, Waze, and HereWeGo. The system retains your factory sound quality and integrates with your car's stereo controls and touchscreen. Installation of the VLine VL2 requires connecting to the back of your stereo and uses a vehicle-specific harness, GPS receiver, and an aftermarket microphone (included) for voice commands and calls. While it retains factory cameras, an optional VAUX AV cable (sold separately) is needed to add aftermarket backup or front-facing cameras. Firmware upgrades are available over Wi-Fi or USB.
