The Mahle Motorsport main bearing set is a set of standard-sized VM1028-STD bearings designed for VW and Audi 1.8L Turbo engines.

Manufactured in the UK with F1 technology, these bearings utilize a proprietary tri-metal blend that provides increased stiffness and durability, essential for high-performance and race engines. Each bearing is engineered using state-of-the-art software to ensure optimal oil film thickness, contributing to greater reliability and reducing the risk of bearing spin. This set includes 10 half shells, with 5 featuring oiling grooves designed to be installed on the top side of the journal to facilitate full journal lubrication. The bearings are laser-marked for better heat transfer and more even wear compared to stamped marks. They are suitable for high horsepower engines and feature bearing locating tangs. Applications include various 1.8T 20V, 2.0T FSI, and 1.8L/2.0L 8V/16V engines. It is crucial to note that this set **does not fit chain-driven 2.0T TSI engines**. Please verify fitment for your specific vehicle. The product is also subject to California Proposition 65 warning regarding cancer and reproductive harm.
