VNT-17BEW Turbocharger

The Garrett VNT-17BEW turbocharger is an upgrade for the European PD 150 turbo, specifically designed to replace the less reliable stock KP39 turbo found in Mk4 Volkswagen models with the BEW engine code. This unit has a proven track record for reliability and is capable of producing over 150 wheel horsepower when paired with the necessary supporting modifications and proper tuning. This turbocharger comes equipped with a Smart Actuator, which is plug-and-play for the BEW engine. To ensure a seamless installation and maintain functionality, it includes a special EGR cooler pipe. This pipe connects directly to the exhaust manifold on Mk4 cars ('04-'06 BEW engine code), allowing the use of the stock EGR cooler without requiring modifications to the original pipe. An installation kit is also included with this turbocharger. It's important to note that this turbo may require reclocking to properly accommodate plumbing; instructions for this procedure are available. For optimal performance and easier installation, the use of a stainless braided oil supply line is highly recommended, as original lines are susceptible to cracking or kinking.
