Volant Performance Air Intake Systems are designed for optimal performance by optimizing airflow and utilizing free-flowing filters. This system outflows stock systems to increase overall performance while protecting your engine. It includes a Volant Primo Diesel air filter with 8 layers of high-quality textiles, pleated between top and bottom aluminum screens, designed for severe duty trucks. Primo Diesel air filters are engineered for the highest air flow rate possible, necessary for high-performance diesel engines, and offer very long filter life and service intervals of up to 40,000 miles depending on driving conditions. This air intake system also features a high-velocity venturi filter adapter for a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube, improving airflow over factory rubber tubing and resonator box. The larger Cool Air box incorporates a larger opening to collect a higher volume of colder ambient air. The Periscoop uses Volant's sealed air filter box and high-velocity air intake tube. The air filter box lid also incorporates a hood seal adaptor that funnels air from a hood-mounted snorkel which extends up the passenger side of the vehicle to the roof-line. The snorkel scoop uses a polished aluminum front cover.
