The ELEVATE Volvo S60 T5 Air Intake is engineered to deliver significant power and torque gains for the T5 engine, with potential for even greater increases on mildly tuned vehicles. It achieves this by improving airflow and capacity over the stock air box. This filter includes a removable, washable water-repellent cover that protects against water ingress and extends cleaning intervals. The intake tube is a precision-bent 3.5" diameter aluminum construction with a bright silver powder-coated finish, designed to reflect heat and maintain a clean appearance. Testing indicated that the 3.5" pipe yielded superior power gains compared to a 3" pipe. The design incorporates a machined pin for attachment to a factory mounting point on the lower inlet manifold, ensuring a secure and easy installation. The ECU is relocated to a black powder-coated aluminum bracket, allowing ample airflow for cooling, a design tested in extreme heat conditions. Installation is straightforward for DIY enthusiasts with basic automotive skills and tools, with premium hardware and detailed instructions included. The system offers a choice of silicone hose colors (Black, Blue, Red, or Clear) and is made in the USA. This intake can be used independently or in conjunction with the ELEVATE Turbo Intake Pipe to form a complete intake system.
