Vortec HD 350 L31 Crate Engine 5.7L

The Chevrolet Performance 19432779 is a new Vortec HD 350 L31 crate engine, designed as a replacement for 1996-2002 GM vehicles. This engine features a 5.7L/350 cubic inch displacement, a 4.000-inch bore, and a 3.480-inch stroke, contributing to a 9.3:1 compression ratio. The engine block is constructed from cast iron and boasts a robust 4-bolt main design with a 1-piece rear main seal for durability. It is internally balanced and equipped with a forged 1053 steel crankshaft. The camshaft is a hydraulic roller type, specified as OE, with an intake lift of .414" and an exhaust lift of .428". Valve duration at 0.050 inches is 191° for the intake and 196° for the exhaust, with a firing order of 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. This crate engine offers 250 horsepower at 4600 RPM and 330 ft-lbs of torque at 2800 RPM. It's important to note that current small block accessory drive kits may not properly mount due to missing casting bosses on this engine.
