Vortex Turbo Housing

The EQT Vortex XL Turbine Housing is engineered as an upgrade for the EQT Vortex Turbo, featuring a larger design to enhance turbine flow. This increase in flow reduces exhaust back pressure and engine heat, enabling greater ignition advance and maximizing overall engine output. It serves as a direct replacement for existing Vortex turbo installations. This housing is specifically designed to provide an additional 20-40 wheel horsepower (whp) gain. While it results in a slight spool slowdown of 200-300 RPM, full boost can still be achieved around 3300 RPM. The power delivery will be smoother and more progressive compared to the standard housing, making it an excellent choice for drivers seeking improved top-end performance. This upgrade was utilized in a recent Golf R build, achieving a 10.46-second quarter-mile time at 131 mph, demonstrating its performance capabilities.
