VQ Beehive Valve Springs

The Jim Wolf Technology A3503-BHIVE is a set of VQ beehive valve springs engineered to handle aggressive JWT competition camshaft profiles, supporting lifts of .600” and higher. These springs are constructed using super clean wire material, enhanced heat treating, and a nano-peened and polished finish to significantly improve reliability. The beehive design is crucial for dampening harmonic resonance, which mitigates issues like valve surging, bouncing on the seat, or floating at high RPMs. With an installed height of 38.66mm, these springs are designed to work with original bottom spring shims. For earlier VQ engines (pre-2013) that use an ID 17.6mm retainer, the JWT ARETN-BHIVE retainer (ID 12.3mm) is required and must be purchased separately. The springs themselves offer approximately 3g less combined spring and retainer weight compared to original VQ parts, contributing to overall system efficiency. These valve springs are compatible with a range of Nissan VQ and VK engines, including VQ30DE, VQ35DE, VQ35DE REV-UP, VK56, VQ35HR, VQ37, VQ40, and VQ37VHR (exhaust only). They are also designed to fit specific vehicle applications such as the 350Z, Pathfinder, Truck, G35, Maxima (2002+), Murano, FX35, Titan, G37, FX45, M35, M45, 370Z, and Armada.
